VLE – Unavailability over the Christmas period

On Christmas Day there were power cuts to many parts of the University that affected University IT systems. IT staff worked throughout Boxing Day to restore services. However, problems following on from the outages affected the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) this week-end. These have now been solved and the VLE is back in service.

In summary the VLE was not available between the following dates:

  • Friday 25 Dec
  • Saturday 2 Jan till 4 Jan 2010 (this was directly linked to the power cut on Christmas day)
