Important information regarding open Questionmark assessments

We have identified a bug with Questionmark where submissions aren’t stored for any open assessments using a prefixed hyperlink to capture name and group information that are accessed simultaneously (i.e. more than one participant accessing the assessment concurrently).

Example scenario

Your link to the assessment will look something like this:

http://www.qmlive.leeds.ac.uk/q4/open.dll?SESSION=8560829788531072&NAME=students1011&GROUP=MECH1230

If the assessment/survey is accessed by 2 or more participants simultaneously Questionmark will only accept the first submission and any subsequent submissions will present the participants with identical feedback to that of the first participant.  In addition, the subsequent submissions (if accessed simultaneously) will not be saved to the Questionmark server for reporting purposes.

Suggested resolution

Amend your link to remove the NAME and GROUP prefix:

http://www.qmlive.leeds.ac.uk/q4/open.dll?SESSION=8560829788531072

When presented with the login screen the participant should enter some unique information,  e.g. their student ID and the module code.

Comments are welcome, however if you need help or advice please contact the ISS helpdesk on tel (0113) 343 3333, or helpdesk@leeds.ac.uk.
