We have had several reports of external links in the VLE not working, presenting users with a blank page. This affects links which are not set to open in a new window. In most cases the web browser is blocking the linked page due to it being identified as insecure.
To view the link, a workaround is to right click the link (name) and select Open in a New Tab/Window.
In the main this will affect older links that have been copied as part of the module rollover. New links are set to open in a new window by default to help prevent this problem.
Staff can change old links to open in a new window by editing them and changing the setting under External Link Options:
