Turnitin have recently changed their bulk download functionality. There are two important changes staff may notice.
Change to file names
Student papers are now downloaded with the original file name only – student names are no longer added. Neither is a manifest file generated to help you identify which paper belongs to which student.
We have been in touch with Turnitin to ask for these changes to be reversed. We appreciate they are likely to cause staff problems with assessment and archiving procedures. Further updates will be posted here.
Retrieving the zip file
When you bulk download student submissions, instead of downloading to your computer straightaway, you will need to go to the Messages tab in Turnitin to access the zip file (it may take some time to generate).
