Turnitin unavailable

Turnitin is experiencing a service outage, and is unavailable.

This affects students when attempting to submit and staff when they attempt to view files through Turnitin.

This issue is affecting all Turnitin institutions and their engineers are looking into the issues as a priority.

Comments are welcome, however if you need help or advice please contact the IT Service Desk on tel (0113) 343 3333, or itservicedesk@leeds.ac.uk.

New Timetable Agenda View

We’ve made a new timetable agenda view available as part of the University’s ongoing replacement of the existing timetable software. The agenda view is available on the Learn tab in Minerva to Undergraduate students and Taught Postgraduate Students.

Screenshot of Agenda view

By default, the agenda view shows the next 5 events in your timetable. The full timetable view is accessed via the Minerva toolbar icon as usual:

The new agenda view is part of a wider programme of enhancements to improve the student timetabling experience.

Minerva on Desktop Anywhere

You do not have to use Desktop Anywhere to access Minerva off campus – you can use any supported browser on your computer. However, if you need to be on Desktop Anywhere for other reasons, we recommend you use the Chrome browser to access Minerva.

The version of Internet Explorer (IE) on Desktop Anywhere is not supported by Minerva and if you try to upload content using this version of IE you will get an error message like this:

{“destinationUrl”:”/webapps/blackboard/content/listContentEditable.jsp?course_id=_xxxxxx_1&content_id=_xxxxxxx_1&mode=reset”}

IT are working on updating IE on Desktop Anywhere.
