Adding package (.zip) files

We have produced a video demo showing how staff can add package (.zip) files to modules/organisations. Typical examples of software that can be used to create package files at the University includes Articulate & Wimba Create.

The demo includes audio, and alternative on screen captions which are available by selecting the CC icon at the bottom right hand side of the page.

Further information on package (.zip) files is available in the written version of the guide and can be accessed from the VLE support website.

Articulate Quizmaker and SCORM in the VLE

Articulate Quizmaker files added as SCORM items prior to the upgrade will no longer work in the VLE.

You should republish any Quizmaker files as 2004 3rd edition, remove the existing SCORM item(s) from the VLE replacing them with the newly published file(s).

Comments are welcome, however if you need help or advice please contact the ISS helpdesk on tel (0113) 343 3333, or helpdesk@leeds.ac.uk.

Articulate/Wimba Create packages in the Content Collection

Instructors: Permissions need to be manually added to these packages if you’ve used the Content Collection, otherwise students will not be able to access anything beyond the first page. See our guide on how to do it.
