VLE system back after update

The VLE  system is now back after the latest Service Pack update. We will monitor the system closely over the next few days while we complete post upgrade tasks, testing and tuning.

Users should return to their normal VLE usage and report issues to the ISS helpdesk as listed below. Be aware, Wednesday 10th July 2013 may be utilised for any contingencies requiring further work. We appreciate your time and will endeavour to minimise any disruption, and only if necessary.

A guide for staff on the most noticeable changes is located at:
http://www.leeds.ac.uk/vle/staff/changes/

A similar guide for students is located at:

More guides on VLE tools will be updated shortly.

Thank you for your patience during the downtime.

Where are my Modules?

Where are my modules? It’s a familiar call to ISS this time of year and there are some simple explanations for the majority of students in this situation: Your modules are not available in the VLE because the content has not been made available by the Instructor. In most cases you need not do anything – the Instructors will release their modules when they are ready and you’ll be able to see the material the moment they do that. If you are at all worried you can check your enrolments by logging into Student Services via the Student Services & Admin tab on the Portal. The record there is authoritative. Also, ensure you are not trying to access 0910 modules – these are hidden by default but easily restored in the VLE Modules list. Here is a guide to how it works.

Instructors: ensure you have made your modules available if you are ready to release the content to your students. Here’s a step by step guide to get you started.
