Resolved – Turnitin service disruption

Between 09:00 and 10:20 on Tuesday 19th May, some students may have encountered errors when when attempting to submit, and staff when they attempted to view files through Turnitin.

This issue has now been resolved.

Minerva Data Feeds – Update

Banner data has been successfully loaded into Minerva. This means that staff and student enrolments to modules and organisations are correct as of 10am.

If you do have any outstanding access issues, please contact the IT Service Desk.

Minerva Data Feeds

All of the data feeds into Minerva did not run successfully overnight. This means that staff and student enrolments to modules and organisations have not being processed, along with new accounts and merged modules.

In addition, the staff and student enrolments feed failed on Wednesday night.

A high priority call has been logged with IT to try and get this issue fixed as soon as possible.

If you do require urgent access to a module, please contact the IT Service Desk, so that the enrolment can be processed manually.

Minerva – access restored

Minerva is now available following successful migration to our new server hosting.
We do not anticipate any major problems, but will continue to monitor the system closely.
We are back earlier than expected but this will not affect assessment deadlines which have already been set. If you need clarification regarding deadlines, contact your school for advice as soon as possible.

Minerva update

Users will have experienced problems accessing Minerva on Monday 18th November; the service was unavailable from 10am to 2:45pm approx.

We are monitoring the service closely and continue to investigate the cause as a matter of priority.

Minerva unavailable

Minerva is currently unavailable. If this affects you, please let the IT Service Desk know. Log in to the IT website, click Service Status from the top menu, then select “I’m affected”.

The For Students website has guidance on what to do if you need to submit work while Minerva is down. It also has links to systems that you might usually access through Minerva. If you need to submit work while Minerva is unavailable, contact your school for advice as soon as possible.

Minerva available

Minerva is available again following the unscheduled outage earlier today.

The service was unavailable from 0300 until 1100 (approx).

Minerva is now online and engineers continue to investigate the cause.

If you were unable to submit work while Minerva was unavailable, please read the guidance on what to do on the For Students website or contact your school for advice.
